What Can I Wear?

We have a dress code to allow your teacher to see your dance lines properly and so we look smart.

New members will have 4 weeks to get the correct clothing for class.

  • Members who fail to dress properly after 4 weeks will be asked to sit out.

Girls may wear:-

  • Top: Must be fitted and plain (with no pattern); but can be any colour.
    • You may wear a Leotard, dance/sports bra, vest top, fitted T-shirt, etc.
    • This top must cover your body, low cut tops are not acceptable.
  • Bottom: Hot pants, Spankies, Leggings, Jazz Pants, Jazz Shorts - Must be BLACK.

 

Boys may wear:-

  • Top: Must be fitted and plain (with no pattern); but can be any colour.
    • e.g. vest top, fitted T-shirt, etc.
    • It is also OK to wear a Male Unitard.
  • Bottom: Leggings, Jazz Pants, Jazz Shorts - Must be BLACK.

 

 


If you would like to order a TE dance crop top, TE leggings, TE T-Shirt or a TE Hoodie, then please see your Dance Teacher or ask reception for more details.

Dress Code During Class


During Class?

Dancers should start class in layers, so it is acceptable to wear TE Hoodies and T-Shirts over dance clothing to warm up.

      NB. These should be removed at the end of warm up and put back on for cool down.

When Representing TE?

When students are out of the school representing TE it is nice for them to wear a school T-shirt; these and other TE clothing can be purchased from your teacher.

There is a two week notice required for any printing; which means, if you would like a T-shirt, hooded top or other item of TE clothing, you should please ask your teacher at your next class.

There is a new line of Competition Tracksuits and T-Shirts, these can also be ordered from reception.

Be Prepared (for anything)!

It is important you are dressed properly for dance as this will impact on your performance and our ability to assess your performance.

  • You MUST NOT wear any denim or other tight non-stretch clothing.

Where to Purchase Kit from?

Most Dance shops; will supply many of the items listed above on request.

TE dance kits can be purchased from reception.

You could also use AnythingGloes.co.uk; who produce rehearsal clothes and performance costumes to order, which you can use for your class work and for your exams.
